The regular, large and double travel towel are made of a recycled waffled microfiber (45% recycled polyester, 35% polyester 20% polyamide). The small travel towel is made of a suede microfiber (80% recycled polyester, 20% polyamide).

THE SUBSTANCE! that's the quick answer ;) Buvanha uses a waffled microfiber. The standard microfiber is made of a suede smooth microfiber. These feel rough and uncomfortable. They often stick to the skin because it absorbs too little water.

Wash the towel cold the first few times, then you can wash the towel at 30 °C in combination with similar colours.

If you want to get the towel perfectly in the storage bag. You have to follow the following steps:

1. Fold the length of the towel until you have a long strip of 1/3 of the towel.

Waarom nieuwe gebruiken als je oude materialen ook kunt hergebruiken. Door grondstoffen die al bestaan te recyclen, in plaats van nieuwe grondstoffen te gebruiken, doe je heel veel goeds namelijk. Dit betekent minder nieuwe grondstoffen -> Minder afval in onze oceanen en op stortplaatsen. Daarnaast geloven wij ook dat het op langer termijn zorgt voor een vermindering van de CO2-uitstoot.

Daarnaast is de kwaliteit van gerecycled materiaal net zo goed als nieuwe materiaal.

Eerst worden plastic flessen, die aan het eind van hun levenscyclus (PCR) zijn, verzameld en grondig schoongemaakt. Vervolgens worden deze verwerkt tot kleine kralen, die gesmolten en omgezet worden in draad. Met dit draad weven wij onze Buvanha handdoeken.

Graag! We zouden liever vandaag dan morgen overstappen naar 100% gerecycled materiaal. Helaas is deze stof enkel in extreem grote hoeveelheid te krijgen. Hierdoor moeten we nog even wachten en hopen we in 2023 de overstap te kunnen maken.

Bij Buvanha hechten we veel waarde aan duurzaamheid en proberen waar kan alles te verduurzamen. Onderstaande punten hebben we al doorgevoerd.
